Klaviyo migration. No deliverability loss.
Migrating from Mailchimp, HubSpot, Drip, or ActiveCampaign — without losing deliverability, subscribers, or active flows. Standard sprint 2–4 weeks. From $3,499.
Stuck on Mailchimp / HubSpot / Drip? Migrate to Klaviyo without a deliverability dip.
Why brands migrate.
Klaviyo's eCom-native segmentation (Recency-Frequency-Monetary, predictive CLV, replenishment cycle, browse-abandonment with deep Shopify / BigCommerce / Magento integration) is materially better than what Mailchimp, HubSpot Marketing Hub, Drip, ActiveCampaign, or generic CRM email can offer for B2C eCom + DTC brands. The result: email-as-percent-of-revenue lifts 2–3× within 6 months when paired with a 28-flow lifecycle rebuild. Top-performing DTC brands run 30–40% of revenue through email; most brands stuck on legacy ESPs run 6–8% — the gap is mostly architectural, not content quality.
Why brands hesitate.
Three legitimate fears: "will deliverability dip during cutover?" (yes if executed poorly; no if staged correctly), "will my engagement history transfer?" (mostly yes — source ESP varies), "will my flows work the same way?" (functionally yes, often better). The fear most brands underestimate: doing nothing. Every quarter on a legacy ESP is a quarter of un-shipped Klaviyo segmentation revenue. Migration is reversible (you can migrate back); under-shipping email revenue compounds losses month after month.
How we ship it.
Two-tier productised migration: Simple Migration ($3,499, 2–4 weeks — single-store, <50k subscribers, basic flow-rebuild, BIMI/DMARC validation, 30-day monitoring) covers ~70% of migration projects. Complex Migration ($9,999, 6–8 weeks — multi-store, custom integrations, full 28-flow lifecycle build, RFM segmentation rebuild, deliverability hygiene at scale) covers high-volume + multi-region setups. Both run on staged migration — flows first (low volume, transactional + behavioural), campaigns second (high volume, marketing) over 2–4 weeks. IP warming on engagement-segmented sends; never big-bang. Inbox Placement Rate monitored daily during cutover via Validity + Postmaster Tools.
Typical results 6 months post-migration.
Productised migration vs in-house DIY or Klaviyo onboarding.
BOTTOM LINE: PRODUCTISED MIGRATION FITS BRANDS THAT WANT THE FOUNDATION SHIPPED CORRECTLY WITHIN 4–8 WEEKS. DIY FITS TEAMS WITH DEEP IN-HOUSE DELIVERABILITY EXPERIENCE.
Brands who outgrew their current ESP.
Mailchimp outgrowers
Hit list-size pricing or need eCom-native segmentation. Migration is the standard exit.
HubSpot eCom users
HubSpot is great for B2B; weak for eCom segmentation. Klaviyo handles eCom-native better.
Drip / ActiveCampaign
Outgrowing into eCom-native automation. Klaviyo migration with flow rebuild.
Multi-platform brands
Standardising onto Klaviyo across multiple Shopify stores or brands.
Stage migration. No big-bang.
Audit + plan
Current ESP audit. Subscribers, flows, segments, custom data, integrations. Migration plan.
Klaviyo setup + import
Klaviyo account configured. Subscribers + history imported. BIMI/DMARC validated.
Flow rebuild
Top 8 flows rebuilt in Klaviyo (welcome, abandon, post-purchase, win-back, replenishment, VIP, sunset, anniversary).
Cutover + monitoring
Old ESP turned off. Klaviyo live. 30-day deliverability monitoring + IP warming if needed.
Migration deliverables.
Subscriber import
List + segments + custom properties + history. Validated, deduplicated.
Flow rebuild
8 core flows minimum. 28-flow build available in Complex tier.
Deliverability hygiene
BIMI, DMARC, sender reputation. IP warming where needed.
Integration setup
Shopify, BigCommerce, Recharge, Loop, Yotpo, Postscript — standard integrations.
Reporting setup
Per-flow + cohort reporting in Klaviyo dashboard. Looker Studio for cross-channel.
30-day monitoring

Migration questions we get most.
Will I lose email deliverability during the Klaviyo migration cutover? +
No — risk managed end-to-end via staged migration, IP warming, DMARC + BIMI + DKIM validation, and engagement-segmentation cleanup before any high-volume sends move. Standard protocol: flows migrate first (low volume, transactional + behavioural), then campaign sends (high volume, marketing) over 2–4 weeks. Engagement-segmented warming sends through the warmest 20% of your list first, expanding daily. Inbox Placement Rate monitored daily during cutover via Validity, Postmaster Tools, and Sender Score. Clients see 0–3% short-term IPR variance on average.
Will my subscribers, history, and segments transfer cleanly to Klaviyo? +
Yes — full subscriber list, engagement history, segments, and custom properties migrate. Source ESPs vary in what they expose: Mailchimp transfers cleanly (everything except Klaviyo-style RFM segments which we rebuild), HubSpot Marketing exports rich engagement data, Drip and ActiveCampaign transfer well with custom-field mapping, generic CRM email loses some metadata. Custom properties mapped manually in week 1; we document gaps before migration so you know exactly what is preserved vs reconstructed. Subscriber-consent state preserved per platform.
How long does Klaviyo IP warming actually take for an established list? +
2–4 weeks for established lists above 10,000 subscribers, with engagement-segmented warming starting at the highly-engaged 20% on day 1 and expanding to the broader list over the warming period. Shorter for smaller lists (1–2 weeks below 10k subs). Brand-new IP needs longer (3–5 weeks). We schedule warming based on your list size, send frequency, and current sender reputation; aggressive warming compromises long-term inbox placement. Daily warming progress reported in shared Notion + weekly Loom updates.
Will my existing flows work the same way in Klaviyo as they did in my old ESP? +
Functionally yes, often better — Klaviyo's eCom-native filters (RFM, predictive CLV, replenishment cycle, browse abandonment with Shopify/BigCommerce/Magento integration depth) are richer than most source ESPs. Some source-ESP-specific filters do not have direct Klaviyo equivalents and need re-engineering (mostly in HubSpot lifecycle stages and Marketo programs). We document filter-by-filter differences before cutover, so nothing is a surprise. Most flows perform 10–30% better in Klaviyo for B2C eCom because of native Shopify event integration.
Do you also handle SMS migrations alongside Klaviyo email migration? +
Yes — SMS migration is in scope: Klaviyo SMS (paired with Klaviyo email for unified attribution and audience), Postscript (DTC eCom favourite, deeper Shopify integration), Attentive (high-volume DTC), Twilio (custom B2B and developer-led setups), or migration to Klaviyo SMS from any of the above. TCPA-compliant in the US, GDPR + PECR-compliant in EU/UK, DPDP-compliant in India — express opt-in architecture, designated sender registration, functional unsubscribe preserved across migration. SMS subscriber consent state migrates separately from email consent.
What is the right Klaviyo pricing plan for my list size and send volume? +
Klaviyo pricing scales with your active profile count and SMS messages sent — not subscriber count alone. We recommend the right plan based on: total active profiles in the past 12 months, monthly email send volume, SMS send volume (separate add-on), required integrations (Shopify, BigCommerce, Recharge, Loop, Yotpo, etc.), and team-seat needs. Most DTC migration clients land on Klaviyo's standard tier sized to their active-profile range, with SMS as a usage add-on. We share pricing comparison vs source-ESP cost in week 1.
